It’s the new year and that means a whole new outlook and resolutions and promises and and and…
The fact is, it’s 2013 and it’s going to be the best year of training at The Farm that there has ever been, and if you’re not here and part of it, you’re missing out.
However, that being said, I would like to remind you that it is also the season of the flu, and it just so happens that Weld County has been one of the hardest hit this year in terms of reported influenza cases. Doctors are being overrun with nasty coughs, fevers, and alien-like beings coming out of people’s chests. Seriously, it looks like an episode of The Walking Dead at NCMC these days.
So, with that, if you start to feel the symptoms of said flu, don’t try to be tough and “train through it.” The only thing that accomplishes is that it will get everyone at the gym sick and hamper their training. Plus, they’ll be mad at you and want to choke you out that much harder next time when they finally recover.
How do I know? Well, maybe ’cause I “allegedly” got the coach sick the day before Christmas. I say it’s pure rumor and that we shouldn’t jump to conclusions, but now he’s after me and I have to go into witness protection. What a mess. I already miss my family…
At any rate, if you get sick, stay home. Get healthy. Then come back and kick 2013 in the nether regions by training harder than you ever have before.
Happy New Year!
